Boutique hotels might be small in size but big on character and service. The majority of them are in St Julian’s, Sliema and Valletta with great access to the city’s cosmopolitan, lively areas. Some of the more recent infrastructural projects taking place in line with the EU Presidency and Capital of Culture are assisting greatly with the overall product of Valletta and Malta as an Island. As part of the ongoing projects for Valletta’s title as European Capital of Culture in 2018 a number of investments in small, quality type boutique hotels in the capital city is well underway. These boutique hotels will provide niche tourists a different type of accommodation and can also be used for smaller C&IT groups or incentive groups.
